After graduating college from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in business and focus in marketing, I found some amazing jobs in marketing management and graphic design. In my experience as an Assistant General Manager at Grandview Public Market, a local food hall in Palm Beach, Fl, I managed the marketing, billing, and public relations departments. To market our restaurants, shops, and event services, I managed the social media, developed marketing materials, and partnered with local organizations to plan and host community events. I created event flyers, posters, social media graphics, banners, photos and videos that we distributed through social media, news channels, and community events. One of my favorite projects was creating a golden ticket, that contained coupons to local businesses within the market and in the same district that incentivized customers to visit each location, benefiting the community as a whole. My heart continuously overflowed at the opportunity to assist such a diverse collective of businesses, charities, movements and many beautiful missions through what I love doing most.
In addition to my experience at Grandview, one company that I really respected and was honored to work for was Protect-A-Child Pool Fence. With their mission focusing on preventing child drowning, I was honored to assist a network of over 100 distributors around the world managing Google Adwords campaigns, websites, and designing digital media assets such as brochures, ads, flyers, catalogues, newsletters and apparel. Across all of my experiences up to this point, I'm certain of my love for art and being able to use it to positively and profoundly impact lives.
From a very young age, I've seen things in a unique way and loved being creative. From the music I wrote while pretending I was Lindsay Lohan from the movie Freaky Friday to the comic book stories I'd draw to see my friends and family smile, my imagination was always pining for ways to touch the lives of others with the joy that artistically expressing myself brought me. This would lead me to discover that through graphics, I can do exactly that for businesses too. Combine that with my Father's entrepreneurial spirit, and it's no surprise that I would land in the freelance graphic design industry!
I'm very grateful for how my experiences have prepared me to start my own business, Alana Co, where I aspire to offer both the same digital media services and heart behind them to clients. Working in public relations at Grandview Public Market, I got to see first hand how beautiful it is to invest in business efforts that met both our objectives as well as the community at large. Working at Protect-A-Child Pool Fence, where patience and honesty were consistently practiced in it's broad network of distributors, vendors and customers, I got to see how rewarding it is to consistently apply those values in every situation.
Across all of my experiences, I've seen how you can both appreciate and implement strong positive values in business. With that, along with the part of me that's always loved seeing the joy that my creations spread, I look forward to building quality brands that serve both your business's and audience's needs. Let's create!
